Here is the recipe for the much-talked-about TWIX Bars from the 7th Ward Conference on April 14th (courtesy of Jennie Bennett) Other recipes to follow...
Caramel Chocolate Squares (AKA - "Twix" )
2 cubes butter
1/2 C sugar
2 C flour
Cut with pie crust cutter or two forks until crumbly.
Press mixture into ungreased large cookie sheet.
Bake at 3oo for about 30 min or til just barely golden. Cool.
Bring to boil:
2 cubes butter
4 TB light Karo syrup
1/2 C sugar
1 can sweetened condensed milk
Boil 6-10 min with a slow boil stirring constantly til darker and thicker. Spread on crust and cool.
Melt 1 12-oz pkg milk choc chips and spread over carmel.
You can cover with sliced almonds......optional. Sometimes I do half with and half without.
